The Diwali edit of the Gem & Jewellery show happened recently from 25-28 September. Hosted by the GJC, it was timed perfectly before the onset of the festive season. I visited the most happening B2B show for jewellers and retailers alike and here is my journey!
The show was inaugurated by many renowned dignitaries of the industry and the keynote address by Shri Govindbhai Dholakia was a true eye-opener and the audience, including me, absorbed every word in rapt attention.
The GJS Fashion Nite saw stars come down to earth, literally! The jewellery and attires on display were a testament to the glamour and grace of India and the cultural event saw a superior showcase of talent by various artists!
The NJA awards with the theme of ‘Pratibha Ka utsav’ saw a number of well-deserving industry leaders receive recognition in various categories. It was a delight to watch people being rewarded for their hard work.
As a lover of multi-functional jewellery, I truly appreciated this set of necklaces from Dassani Brothers. It can be styled in multiple ways to go from casual to festive look and reflects their speciality of creating timeless jewellery that lasts generations!
I was amazed by an innovative product at the stall of S.R Mehta & Sons. This viral magnetic ring set was designed to quickly find your perfect and favourite ring style. With options in the band, stones, metals and settings, it truly is a must have for all jewellers.
For people who value luxury, R.V. Agrawal Impex Pvt. Ltd. had numerous silver artefacts that are simply perfect for gifting. Who better to create these outstanding pieces than the century-old ‘chaandiwale’? My personal favourite was the silver champagne flutes set.
Traditional jewellery always excites me, and I go in search of it at every show because I love the stories they narrate. The pieces on display at the GJS were beautiful creations that mesmerised and I was in awe of a navratna kada which had mantras between rows of precious stones.
The GJS is #HumaraApnaShow for a reason. A networking space, a cultural extravaganza, an immersive experience, a learning platform, a collaborations arena, a delivery show – GJS was all this and more and it was truly enriching to go through this experience.
