IIJS Signature Show 2025

2025 began with the incredible IIJS Signature Show in Mumbai. A premium B2b trade fair in its 17th edition, it focused on the ‘Brilliant Bharat’ series with the theme ‘Brahmi – Rediscovering the Scripts of India’. The IIJS Signature Show took place at dual venues:

The JWCC: 4th-7th January 2025; venue was inaugurated by Mr Mangal Prabhat Lodha (State Minister, Govt. of Maharashtra), Mr Umesh Pandey (Thai Trade Representative, Thailand) and Mr Saurabh Gadgil (CMD, PNG Jewellers) along with the core team and key members of GJEPC. The venue had premium brands in gold, diamonds and gemstones and also hosted The Select Club.

The BEC: 5th-8th January 2025, venue housed the best of jewellery brands in gold, silver and gemstones and also hosted the IGJME, Asia’s biggest jewellery technology and machinery show. It was inaugurated by Ms. Amruta Fadnavis (Social Worker, Banker, Singer) and other key members of the organising committee.

The Select Club celebrated its first anniversary at the show and is a premium space for high-end couture and fine jewellery. This edition saw 150+ booths showcasing the most magnificent collection of jewels.

Every piece at the SK Seth Jewelers’ booth spoke of their golden heritage of making 22K handcrafted luxurious jewels. This bridal set was the highlight that caught the attention of many.

PR Jewels prides itself on making elegant and whimsical nature-inspired designs. Their opera collection had playful and moving floral embellishments that added a touch of fun to the set.

I was wowed by the bridal temple jewellery set by Matushree Gold Jewellers. Intricate in its design and charming in its feel, it was so lightweight and easy to carry at just 500 gms.

These beautiful necklaces effortlessly blended polki, diamonds, carved gemstones and gold with passion and craftsmanship. It was no surprise that the creators, Deepa Jewellers, are a renowned name in exporting fine jewellery.

I was joyed to see a century-old design, Kasu Mala – the garland of coins, at the Mamraj Mussadilal Jewellers’ booth. Worn on traditional occasions, this masterpiece was handcrafted to honour heritage and skill.

This unique and opulent pair of gajra bangles at the Ruchita Jewels booth immediately caught my eye. An ode to their expertise in ancient Indian techniques, this pair took on a modern avatar for the contemporary woman.

Patel Gems and Jewellery has a legacy of 5 generations of high-quality gemstones. They showcased the classics – rubies, sapphires and emeralds, at their booth in the show.

House of Sparsh unveiled their new collection, Twilight – a spectrum of colours, which is trendy, fun and affordable. The collection boasts of a beautiful blend of rose gold, diamonds and black ceramic.

Solitaires in various shapes and sizes came together with skill and craft to create these classy and gorgeous bangles. These creations from M Sashi Badalia & Sons proved their mastery of diamonds and a testament to their passion.

M Sashi Badalia & Sons also had these beautiful and elegant earrings collections that sported sapphires, rubies, emeralds and pearls and left me spoilt for choice.

Devi Jewellers can cater to all bridal choices, be it traditional or contemporary. This particular necklace was masterfully made in rubies and uncut diamonds and was the most admired piece at their booth.

The most amazing machine on display at the Mehta Tools booth was the Air BEE, a state-of-the-art machine that can detect diamonds, CZ, moissanite or lab-grown in just 20 seconds and that too with your phone. I was truly fascinated and tried testing a few things myself.

The IIJS Signature was a display of skill, craft, talent, jewellery, gemstones, machines, technology and more. It was a celebration of tradition at one end and welcomed new age trends at the other. I have learnt a lot and I am geared up for a great year ahead.
