The highly anticipated and premium B2B show, India Gem & Jewellery Show, was held in Mumbai and marked the debut of the GJS Silver – an exclusive pavilion for all things silver. The 7th edition, with more than 1000 booths, 600+ exhibitors and over 21000 visitors, was held at the Jio World Convention Centre from April 4-7, 2025.
Tagged #humaraapnashow, GJS is a platform for trading, business networking, sourcing, informative seminars and more. It was not all work; the GJS Nite was a scintillating evening of well-deserved awards accompanied by good food, music, and bonding opportunities.
The perfect show for gold, silver and luxurious diamond jewellery.
The first day’s energy at the show was invigorating. Shri Pankaj Bhoyar (Maharashtra State Minister of Home (rural), Housing, School Education, Cooperation and Mining) inaugurated the show in the presence of other dignitaries of GJC. The talk panels were a treasure house of industry information on trends, future verticals and arenas.
The inaugural address by Shri Pankaj Bhoyar held great promise for the industry in Maharashtra. The foremost was the Govt support to create Golden Clusters in various districts of the state, ensuring ethical practices. He also promised to improve mining procedures to help promote India’s stature in the global gold market.

The GJS was a dream come true for those who love gold and all that glitters! The show had every style of gold jewellery on offer, be it lightweight jewellery or the heavy Temple Jewellery of the south and everything in between. Exquisite jewellery from Mumbai, Rajkot, Coimbatore, Kolkata and even Turkey mesmerised the visitors.
The 7th edition of the show had a unique aspect. The GJS Silver pavilion added sparkle to the opulence of gold and diamonds at the show. The pavilion showcased silver artefacts, gifts, jewellery and exclusive showpieces from prominent manufacturers and jewellers.
25 years of Gold Hallmarking in India was marked on Day 2 of the show with the felicitation of Shri Prahlad Joshi, the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and New & Renewable Energy.
A candid chat with the GJS Brand Ambassador Ms Nikita Porwal, Femina Miss India 2024 winner, was a revelation. She described her collaboration as an amalgamation of “Shakti & Shringar of India”.
Mamraj Musaddilal Jewellers, known for their Victorian-style creations showcased some exquisite pieces. These gold bracelets turned more stunning with their unique gem crusted centrepieces. Emeralds, Rubies, Corals and other gemstones vied with each other to impress on these contemporary but classy pieces.
Despite having made numerous presentations across the world, I took pride in talking about Jewellery Styling and Trends at this prestigious show as well. It gave me pleasure to chat with jewellery enthusiasts and answer their queries.

The seventh edition of GJS in Mumbai was a sparkling experience. The addition of the Silver Pavilion added a new point of interest for the visitors. The exquisite handcrafted jewellery spoke of opulence and artistic skill. The interaction with the audience during my presentation was refreshing. It was amazing to see the range of jewellery showcased at the event. I look forward to the 8th edition of the India Gem & Jewellery show.
