The 41st edition of the IIJS Premiere was held at the Jio World Convention Centre from July 30 to Aug 3 and the Bombay Exhibition Centre from July 31 to Aug 4, 2025. Organised by the GJEPC, this show is the second biggest B2B gem and jewellery expo of the world. And here is what I experienced at the fair!

The JWCC venue was host to The Select Club, gemstones and diamonds, high jewels and more. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rahul Narwekar (Hon’ble Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly) along with Guests of Honour Mr. Panvel Marinychev (CEO, Alrosa) and Mr. Ajoy Chawla (CEO, Jewellery Division, Titan Company Ltd) and important members of the GJEPC.

The BEC centre was inaugurated by Mr Abdul Salam (VC, Malabar Group) along with titled members of the GJEPC. This venue boasted of silver jewellery, artefacts and gifting items, loose coloured gemstones as well as machinery, technology and allied products.

In the next step of the “Brilliant Bharat” series, the IIJS Premiere 2025 was witness to the theme ‘An Ode to the Architectural Marvels of India’. It was a celebration of Indian Design and Craftsmanship on a global platform.

Some of the most elite brands with exclusive couture jewellery were showcased at The Select Club. A luxurious display of designer jewels from over 118 brands, this was the best of craftsmanship and design supremacy in one spot.

The IGJME is among the biggest B2B platforms in India for all things related to gems and jewellery i.e, tools, machinery, equipment, latest technology, etc. This edition had exhibitors from Hong kong, Germany, Turkey and Italy among others.

The Brilliant Bharat theme was visible throughout the exhibition, especially highlighting the traditional Indian architectural design forms. Many of the brands honoured the theme with exquisite pieces inspired by the temples, pillars, jaalis, domes and arches of Indian Architecture.

The India International Jewellery Show will henceforth be known as India International Jewellery Show Bharat (IIJS Bharat). This change in name will remind one of a Viksit Bharat and promote the ‘Make in India’ cause.

IIJS Premiere paid tribute to the stalwarts of the industry who have made their mark with decades of contribution to jewellery, during the Celebration night. Icons like Shri Kishorkumar Shah, Shri Anil Talwar, Shri Sudip Nagar, Shri C.K Venkatraman and several others were honoured. The other highlight was a scintillating performance by Sonu Nigam that got the audience to its feet.

Intricately carved Nakshi Jewellery by Matushree Gold LLP, represented traditional handcrafted art with soft whispers of pearls, emeralds and rubies. Thair temple jewellery was literally ancient tales being retold for the modern bride.

The Jewellery booth had a complete range of packaging and display solutions, with their luxurious high end boxes, display choices, trays and furniture. I was amazed at the endless options of customization they offered to a jewellery store.

Tibarumal Ramnivas, a hundred year old legacy, was at The Select Club with their luxurious heirloom pieces. Crafted in gold, iced with diamonds and accented with emeralds and rubies, each piece was a show stopper and I had a tough time finding my favourite.

The Laffan High Jewelry Atelier, with their intricate mountings, was the perfect stop to pick the beginnings of your next couture piece. Their collection was designed and handcrafted with Turkish precision and intense passion.

Vajra had a unique point of view with their fusion of Nakshi style with Kundan Meena Jadau work. Their heavily detailed temple jewellery accented with handcrafted work stole the limelight. I was fascinated by this beaded temple jewellery necklace.

The range of jewellery offered by Shankesh Jewellers encompassed everything from daily wear to bridal. They had a huge ready-to-choose collection as well as customisation options available to satisfy every kind of visitor.

Beautiful Victorian inspired jewellery adorned the Jatin Gems’ Booth. Delicate designs in diamonds were accented by rubies and emeralds and took my breath away. The bold statement pieces were elegance and sophistication personified.

Parina International had a stunning collection of modern heirloom jewellery, both for men and women. Their handcrafted beauties were an expression of love in Kundan Meena and Jadau work with open settings.

Rajendra Gems, well known suppliers and manufacturers of coloured gemstones, showcased their brilliant collection of Colombian emeralds. They had stunning solitaires, well matched pairs and beautiful layouts to choose from.

Bliss Gems & Minerals impressed everyone with their pink tourmaline collection. Whether carved, cabochons or precision cut, solitaires, pairs or layouts, the range of high quality stones was exquisite. Can you guess which of these caught my eye?

RVJ Jewellers Pvt Ltd, are distinguished for their high craftsmanship artistry. Their opulent creations are all made with carefully sourced diamonds and gemstones. One of their exquisite pieces is this ruby and diamond set where the red stone steals the show. The carved look accented with pearls was a total stunner!!

RMC Gems India Limited presented a stunning collection of Paraiba Tourmalines that included singles and the difficult to find pairs. The pioneer manufacturing brand presented an array of other precision cut precious and semiprecious gemstones as well.

Specialists of lightweight 18K Italian and 22K Turkish jewellery, DVM Aqua Gold showcased their luxurious statement pieces that can be worn everyday. My eyes just couldn’t leave this petite floral necklace.

Siya Oro Jewels stole the limelight with their use of the traditional polki in modern designs. It is no wonder that my heart still lies with the ruby, polki and diamond open necklace.

The #Bridorra collection, covering all wedding jewellery needs, was unveiled by Lotus Creations, an 80+ year old heritage brand. With 5 different themes of jewels, they ensured every category of wedding attendees could get what they wanted.

Mamraj Mussadilal has once again proved that they can honour their tradition of gold jewellery while incorporating modern demands and tastes. Their artistic perfection results in exquisite pieces like this intricate golden photo frame.

Innovation in tradition has been an USP of master craftsmen Anand Shah Jewels for years. There couldn’t be a better example for the same than this luxurious necklace that I took a fancy to.

Manufacturers of supreme quality gemstones, Gandhi Enterprises Co Ltd are specialists of precision cut and calibrated gems. They displayed a multi hued collection of sapphires in unique shapes and layouts.

Shashwat Atelierr LLP brought out their brilliance of diamonds at the show. Every woman’s best friend, this precious stone found its place in many exquisite pieces, one of them being this peacock necklace.

Ghanshyamdas Kotawala is a brand that manufactures sheer luxurious beauties out of diamonds and gemstones. Their 10-generation legacy is evident in this opulent set.

Visitors were enthralled with the gold temple jewellery collection of SK Seth Jewellers. Their experience of 5 decades shone through every carving, cut, etch and embellishment.

The lightweight collection, Z, was the highlight at the P. Mangatram Jewellers booth. These beautifully designed pieces felt so light and natural, making them perfect for everyday wear.

Royal Rising Jewels by Raniwala had the most amazing collection of prêt and bridal couture jewels in coloured gemstones and open setting. This necklace wowed me with traditional craftsmanship and advanced manufacturing.

The boutique jewellery manufacturers, Aqua, were present at the show with their redefined polki jewellery. Their nature-inspired, handcrafted couture pieces were admired by every visitor.

Parth Diamond are best known as ‘the jewellers’ jeweller’. Now renamed Parth Fine Jewels, their 3 decade heritage got a new avatar in their luxury lightweight “Prismatic Collection” that was unveiled at the show.

Creating modern heirlooms that have a timeless elegance, Deepa Jewellers paid tribute to their cultural roots with their collection. These pieces are the perfect wear for weddings, functions and celebrations.

A classy coming-of-age collection was displayed by the mother-daughter designer duo of the House of Sparsh. Adorably named Tutti Fruity Cappuccino, the collection used diamonds and gemstones for a fun collection that highlights the playfulness of women of all ages.

Mehta Gold is one of the largest manufacturers of nakshi temple jewellery. This year they created a mesmerising, magnificent and masterful piece in the form of this necklace.

Making stellar custom pieces, Sanskriti Jewels brought nature to life with gold, diamonds and coloured gemstones in their ‘ Fluttering Garden’ collection. Their artistry and design command was clearly visible for all to see.

Jhalak Jewellers are creators of diamond stunners in 18K gold that tell tales of art and deisgn craft. They displayed minimalist designs and bold pieces which were poetry personified.

Jewels of Rajputana is revamping its collection with modern masterpieces that are embedded with the traditional art of polki. They used bright colours and intricate work to showcase their expertise of many years!

The couture jewellery collection by The Leo Jewels was a timeless marvel. The modern designs with attention to detail used precision rose cut diamonds to portray subtle luxury.

Celebrating heritage with modern grace for 20 years, Jaipur Ratna made heads turn at their booth. They had created unique pieces of handcrafted bridal jewellery as an ode to the royal women of Rajasthan.

New age cutting edge technology was displayed at the Tagway RFID. They had a horde of marvellous industry specific solutions that makes inventory management an easy breezy affair.

Mehta Tools is a name that is synonymous with trust and technology. They had state-of-the-art jewellery tools and allied machinery on display that was marvelled at by many including me.

My week with IIJS Premiere 2025 was nothing short of a wonder. And the new name IIJS Bharat is only pulling me towards it next year as a proud Indian!
