I recently visited Las Vegas for the annual Couture exhibition at the Wynn Las Vegas, the ultimate destination for fine designer jewelry and luxurious timepieces. The show hosted several new designers along with heritage brands and boasted of the best retailers from across the world. This premium event is known for connections, collaborations and mega business.

A trend setter in the industry, Couture has always been a much-awaited luxury show held at the Wynn Hotel. The exhibition was spread across Design Atelier, Cristal Ballroom and the Lower Level. The exquisite jewelry across the various booths left me awestruck!

Piranesi, a high jewelry house with Italian roots, mesmerised with its rare diamond and coloured gemstones selection that were crafted with perfection into opulent jewellery. Their collection of heart shaped rings in beautiful colours was stunning.

Each piece by Piranesi was a symphony of exquisite contemporary aesthetics, the perfect blend of old world charm and modern design that enhances their timeless beauty. The antique brooch that had been crafted with generations of know-how stole everyone’s heart.

Caroline Gaspard’s love-child, Akillis Paris, is a sublime combination of traditional craft blended with cutting-edge technology to create extraordinary statement pieces. Their combination of graphic design and sharp shapes in this bracelet was the absolute definition of luxury and sophisticated beauty.

Yuvraj Pahuja honoured his Indian roots in his contemporary designs that were both bold and elegant. The highly customisable daily wear jewelry, by Alessa is crafted in 18k gold in various colours and studded with diamonds and other gemstones. My favourite were these enigmatic bracelets that were bold and emphasised feminine strength.

Couture, being a premium high jewelry show, attracts names both new and old every edition. It is not easy being a first-timer at such an event, as the debutants always attract curiosity from the visitors. This year, the brands that had their debut share of the limelight included TOTKAM, Farah Khan World, BIJOUQ, among others. Although it was their first time at the show, their work was as amazing as that of the older brands!

The other debutant designers and brands that bedazzled and stunned me included SWE ME Jewelry, Chic Chu and Jack Ferrero. Their craftsmanship and designs were unique and exquisite. They definitely stood at par with the heritage brands.

The much-awaited Couture Design Awards were held at the Wynn Las Vegas and attracted the best jewelry designers and brands from across the world. The prestigious awards are quite sought after, and the event itself is an amazing experience to attend. The nominees in the 12 categories of Awards were from among the exquisite brands invited to participate in the show. The designers and retailers were scrutinised by the discerning eye of esteemed personalities of the industry and awarded for their talent and skill.

Couture is a must-visit for jewelry-holics like me who can’t resist the lure of exclusive high-end jewelry from across the globe. Apart from the glam and glitter, the show also had a series of talks and seminars on the many aspects and topics that move the industry. They were informative, introspective and it was a lot of learning for me to understand the future developments of the global jewelry market.

A true amalgamation of heritage and new designer brands, Couture had a stunning range of rare gemstones, perfect craftsmanship and cutting edge designs. 4 days at this exclusive premier event flew by like a whirlwind of dazzling luxury. I am so hungover with the beauty and opulence that I have witnessed here and can’t wait to attend the show next year, for each year it gets better than the last!
