JAS Premium B2B 2026

Jaipur – my second home, was host to the JAS Premium B2B show which was organised by the Jewellers Association Jaipur. The show annually brings the best of manufacturers, designers, brands and media from all over the country to one venue which was the Novotel Jaipur Convention Center. From 3-5 July, it was home to brilliant gems, luxury jewellery and industry experts.

The theme this year was โ€˜The Vintage Editโ€™ – an ode to the techniques, art and craft of the yesteryears in the world of jewellery. The organisers also hold the Jewellery Eminence Award as part of this show every year! I was thrilled to be back for this premium show and bring to you everything live from the floor.

The show was inaugurated by eminent personalities and leaders. The Chief Guest was Mr. KP Abdul Salam, the Vice-Chairman and GED of Malabar Group. Mr Surjit Bhujbal (Member of CBIC), Mr. Tawhid Abdullah (CEO of Jawahra Jewellery) and Mr. Pramod Derewala (Chairman of NGJCI) were the guests of honour. They, along with several other dignitaries from the JAS Committee declared the show open and I shared some insightful conversations and light moments with them. Mr. Tawhid Abdulla proposed and welcomed stronger bonding and collaborations between Jaipur and Dubai by encouraging Jaipur’s gemstone sector to work towards developing global branded gemstone grading and certification systems to elevate consumer confidence and international acceptance.

I witnessed a beautiful marriage of Polki and Emeralds at the Jaipur Ratna booth. So many open-setting designs ranging from celebratory to bridal, and each a must-have. I was unable to choose a favourite! Truly, they are the perfect design partners for retailers.

Riveting rare gemstones like rubellites and paraibe tourmalines are becoming the go-to choice of luxury designers. And RMC Gems India has the most varied collection of both these beauties in sizes, shapes and layouts of your dreams. The crowd at their booth was a live testament to their legacy and promise of trust.

It is no surprise that vintage and antique jewels make my heart beat faster! Finding this starburst diamond floral necklace at the MMK Enterprises booth at the show was such a delight. An original Harrods London design, this piece of art is an apt example of classic beauty that never fades!

With emeralds being the unofficial stone of Jaipur, it is no surprise that the green stone was here in abundance. Some of the finest quality of natural emeralds, precisely cut, perfectly shaped and in every price point; were the pride of Swastic Exports.

For the best kind of emeralds in unusual and fancy shapes, beads, cabochons, carved or calibrated variants – Rajender Gems is always the first choice. They are pioneers in ethical sourcing and experts of mine to market movements. At their booth, I got to hold a massive 15kg raw Zambian Emerald weighing more than 75000cts and it was a moment I will cherish for life!

Imagine my surprise when I saw a century old brand making the most beautiful natural gemstones for retailers. Iโ€™m talking about Baid Trading Corporation and their Navratnas, Multi-colour Tourmalines along with Russian Emeralds that range from pastels to dark tones.Try and pick one, I challenge you!

Another year. Another theme. Another journey! 2026 was a great one for JAS. Jaipurโ€™s favourite Panna (emerald) in raw, polished and layout forms was a showstopping one this year. I am mentally scrolling through all the modern and antique pieces I saw and can only imagine what 2027 will bring as visiting Jaipur is a homecoming for me!
