Jewellery Arabia Bahrain is the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch, and it was a privilege to attend the 31st edition from November 14-18 after the Jewellery Arabia Bahrain Show in the 2022 edition!
Jewellery Arabia 2023, was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain; at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir. The visitors had access to a broader range of renowned exhibitors from highly coveted regional and international brands, and the show included a traditional Bahraini ‘Gold Souq’, dedicated zones for watches, pearls and new talented designers!
Below are a few of my discoveries from the show!
My first stop was at MOHAR a brand that redefines the world of fine jewellery with exceptional wearable art created by Nakul and Priyanka. Nakul’s business acumen and industry knowledge perfectly compliments Priyanka’s creative flair and design sensibilities; who is carrying forward her late father, Ram Prakash Narnoli’s (fondly known as Legend of the Emerald Industry) legacy ahead; and together; the talented couple share a profound love for fine jewellery and a mutual desire to create something extraordinary.
Blooming in beauty with the La Tulipe collection from Alok Lodha atelier! Tulips have been a source of endless inspiration for centuries for creative designs. Seeking inspiration from the charismatic shape and exotic charm of the Tulip flower, the creative board of Alok Lodha’s have custom-cut Mozambique rubies, Colombian emeralds and diamonds into special tulip cut gemstones that embody the true essence and celebrates the beauty of the timeless flower of La Tulipe!
Best Italian craftmanship in Bahrain! Veschetti, an Italian high-end jewelry is synonymous with a passion for exclusive jewels! Mario Veschetti founded the brand in 1949 and focused on Italian craftsmanship; and today, almost 70 years later, the legacy lives on through his children, Laura and Marco, who have expanded the brand into international markets! I had the great pleasure of admiring Veschetti’s unique, timeless and modern made-in-Italy jewels.
Mattar Jewelers a respected Bahraini family business with roots that go back several generations has been carrying the pearl legacy since the late 1850s, and today the the sixth-generation family members are taking forward the 170 years legacy ahead and adding their distinctive concepts and creations. The company specializes in crafting exquisitely fine jewellery handcrafted from natural pearls and they have also developed extraordinary ways in incorporating pearls in unique pieces, intending to restore these jewels to their former glory.
Natural pearls have been historically famous in Bahrain due to the country’s rich pearl diving heritage and Al Mahmood pearls’ name is synonymous with the pearling industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al Mahmood Pearls stands by the belief that “nothing compares to the luxury of pearls”. Notably, in 1998, Mr Abdul Razal Al Mahmood was presented with the title “Shaikh of Pearls” by the then Amir of Bahrain – H.H. Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Let me know which one appeals to you the most!
Presenting a contemporary masterpiece by Paris-based jewellery brand SABBA, Alessandro Sabbatini seen at A2Z Advisory. The “Speed Earrings” have thin and long baguettes set on the edges of titanium disks and when are under the light they “sparkle in every direction” which gives movement to the piece. Let me know what you think of the masterpiece.
One of the recent jewellery trends I have noticed is Gemstone Jewels. These vibrant coloured gemstones have the mystic power to add character, warmth and a sense of individuality to jewellery and when it comes to exquisite gemstone jewels, I trust Anju Jain of Nafees: Exquisite Jewellery to create extraordinary masterpieces; just like the opal beads with turquoise and carved tanzanite necklace.
Kyan Jewelry is a brand founded by Amal Sanad, who has a deep love for the planet and a passion for art and positive energy. Amal has created a collection of meaningful jewels that speak to the heart and soul, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the Earth. Featured above is the latest collection, Abbas Almosawi’s pieces are inspired by the Bahrain sun, palm trees, and natural pearls dangling like dates.
My next stop was at Renad Alamoudi, a luxury brand renowned for creating fine jewellery and bespoke watches. Founded by Saudi-based Renad Alamoudi, the collections are heavily inspired by Renad’s Middle Eastern and Western cultures. Her latest jewellery collection takes its cues from the unexpected, beautiful flowers of the Saudi desert, the Ruby Lily and Petit Iris
