Imagine being surrounded by premium jewellery and watch brands from across the globe! That is what I experienced at Europe’s most awaited gold, jewellery and watches exhibition VICENZAORO from 17 to 21 January, Vicenza.
The 4-day fest had more than 21 events spread across 30 hours under Vicenzaoro (boutique jewellery show), Vicenzaoro T.Gold (machinery, technology and precious metal processing) and VO Vintage (vintage watches and jewellery) with the theme “Crafting the Future”
I found some amazing modern, bold and minimalist pieces at the Tirisi. They are known to make fabulous jewellery for the contemporary woman and it showed in their creations.
Jewellery mounting and its cost-effectiveness in jewellery manufacturing have always fascinated me and the pieces on display at Sade Is were no exception. I explored the latest in their necklaces and bracelets collection and my favourite was the floral necklace and ring set.
With expertise in calibrated gems and custom cuts, Gandhi Jewels showcased their Ombre collection of many gemstones in various shapes with dark to light shades. I was wowed by them and personally loved the purple layout!
When classy jewellery meets modern technology, it is always a marvel. The latest by the House of Fope features their statement flex-it mesh style in necklaces and bracelets adorned with
emeralds.
A lover of all things unique, I was amazed by the Corno Napoletano collection by Chantecler. The talisman is a symbol of good luck and prosperity and was iconised in a pendant form by the Italian design house.
Creators of high-quality luxury jewels, Schreiner has always made exemplary pieces that personify talent and skill. These bracelets were a work of wonder and I couldn’t take my eyes away from the beauties in diamonds and emeralds.
Artistry in its various forms greeted us at the welcome dinner at the Fondazione Bisazza, a contemporary museum of micro-mosaic deco pieces, architecture and paintings. Every display was worth admiring and cherishing as a memory.
When art, skill and precious gemstones like paraiba tourmaline, and yellow and white diamonds came together, this masterpiece was born. Crivelli made this fine necklace with top-quality gemstones and it was one of the most stunning pieces at their booth.
I could spend just 2 days at the show due to other commitments but they were filled with learning, networking and doing what I love the most, capturing and talking about jewellery. I cannot wait for the next edition where I am sure I will spend more days surrounded by the finest and best of Italian and European jewellery.
