Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers Group known for the most beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced diamonds, held its 8th Forevermark Forum from July 9-11, 2019, in Bengaluru.
Keeping the new theme of the Forevermark Forum ‘Be Limitless’, in mind, I too started preparing myself to attend the Forum on a special invitation.
The goal of the Forum is to bring its partners together to interact, network and exchange insights on Forevermark’s growth and vision for the industry, within a global framework.

Forevermark took spectators through an insightful journey of exclusive showcases, comprehensive consumer and retail awareness campaigns, technology breakthroughs for the industry along with expert talks by new visionaries.
I had a great opportunity to meet Federica Imperiali, the Head of Product Development of Forevermark, hailing all the way from Milan. She is the creative brain behind all the design of Trends 2019. My discussion with Federica Imperiali was one of the highlights!
Let me take you through each of the trends:
Inspired by symbolic geometry that has been used by artisans ascribing meaning to shapes and proportions, Enigma signifies the craftsmanship behind each timeless objet d’art. It reflects the characteristics of a rough diamond through its angles, polygons, and tessellations. And as quoted by Federica, “Humankind has long been fascinated with geometry’s ability to decode life’s greatest mysteries. ‘Enigma’ channels this compelling attribute into diamond jewellery brimming with complex symmetries and labyrinthine constructions.”
2) ON THE WAVE!
This trend is a part of the brand’s on-going commitment to the conservation of nature, particularly water, given its scarcity in the current times. It is also symbolic and a reminder that reflection, transparency, and honesty are imperative to tackle these issues and conserve it for future generations. And, as quoted by Federica, “Forevermark’s on-going commitment, as part of De Beers Group to the conservation of our planet is reflected in ‘On the Wave’. Not only does this mood inspire beautiful jewellery – it reminds us that we need to cherish and protect one of nature’s most important gifts: water, in all its forms.”
3) CULTURE FUSION!
Inspired by the global interconnectivity and the seamless fusion of the diverse values, ideas, and beliefs, this trend celebrates the adventurous human spirit. And as quoted by Federica herself, “At this wonderful moment in time, when diversity, inclusivity and self-expression are changing the way we regard the world, and each other, ‘Culture Fusion’ is Forevermark’s homage to the adventurous human spirit.”
4) ONE OF A KIND!
This is a trend inspired by the femininity of colour pink and the boldness of black. It reflects the perfect equation of a little grace and a little strength that makes a contemporary woman today. And as quoted by Federica, the Head of Product Development of Forevermark and the creative brain behind all the design trends of the brand this year, “One of a Kind’ reframes the traditional definition of femininity. Striking forms and directional silhouettes represent the strength of a modern woman who writes her own story.”
A nuanced understanding of trends supports the creation of investment pieces that are a mix of classic elegance with contemporary appeal!
Another key highlight of the forum was the display of the Forevermark Red Carpet, Collection display.
Forevermark strives to showcase some of India’s finest craftsmanship and talent on an international platform, as celebrities adorn pieces from the collections, around 27 Indian retailers have designed jewellery exclusively for the 91st Annual Academy Awards. Inspired by the talent and strength of Hollywood’s leading women, the jewellery designs will be on display at the Forever mark Oscars Suite in Los Angeles for private viewings and selection by celebrity stylists and top fashion media in the lead up to film’s biggest awards ceremony.

We are hoping to once again raise the bar of global creativity with our immaculate craftsmanship and innovative designs at the 91st Academy Awards.”
This was undoubtedly one of the most memorable weeks And it only brings a smile to my face every time I think about it! More so, it was a great opportunity to be at the Forevermark Forum amongst the patrons of the brand and the industry and to interact with them. I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire team for having faith in me and inviting me for this lovely event.
