My first visit to JCK Show was in 2019, and it was a pleasure revisiting the JCK 2022 Show from June 8 – 13 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
JCK, the largest and most iconic jewellery buying experience globally, operated by RX, successfully wrapped its 2022 edition exceeding pre-pandemic 2019 attendance numbers and reuniting the jewellery industry to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of JCK. 30,000 people from all facets of the jewellery industry joined JCK and Luxury for a week of product sourcing, education, and networking. The industry gathered under one roof once at The Venetian and The Venetian Expo for JCK from June 10-13, with the return of GEMS with AGTA Las Vegas opening a day early on June 9. Luxury welcomed retailers June 8 -13 and was open to invited retailers on June 8 and 9.
My first stop at the #JCKLuxury; an ultra-curated and exclusive jewellery buying experience that caters to the niche, high-end jewellery market was by Norman Silverman.
Norman Silverman Diamonds have been designing diamond jewellery for 37 years expanding across generations, which has enabled the company to grow with passion. The brand has been committed to creating fine jewellery with opulence, authenticity and excellence. All of the jewellery is designed with care and made from ethically sourced materials, and the brand has made its mark by offering a prestigious selection of large and rare white diamonds, as well as impressive fancy yellows, pinks and blues.
My next visit was to the Brij Jewels; a 3rd generation family-owned jewellery company established in 1971 from Jaipur that specialises in designing and manufacturing diamond & precious gemstone jewellery; each gemstone used is ethically sourced and conflict-free. The in-house skilled artisans and craftsmen work passionately and handcraft each work of art. The result is an outstanding piece of eye-catching jewellery!
Those who are already following my page and my visits to shows already know that my eyes search for sharing exclusive and rare gems and jewels with you. And this time itโs no different. I discovered Peacock Aquaprase by Le Vian Jewelry. Peacock Aquaprase is a type of chalcedony with a blue-green hue. These gemstones display colours, patterns and variations in transparency entirely unlike other varieties of Chalcedony and every stone have a unique pattern that is not repetitive; giving each stone its power and personality!
Have you ever come across such a stone? If yes, let me know in the comments.
It was a pleasure attending Le Vian’s 23rd annual red carpet catwalk and getting detailed insights about the 7 key Jewellery Trends for 2023 which are as follows:
1. Alive! Beautiful Creations
2. Tranquillity
3. Balance
4. Euphoria
5. Spontaneity
6. Inner Strength
7. Optimism
During the lockdown days, I had curated an IG Live with Mark Klein, Director of Operation at The Julius Klein Group (JKG). And it was a pleasure meeting Mark in person and hearing about his incredible family legacy and viewing their extraordinary inventory of the finest quality diamonds (specializing in 2+ carats), exceptional stones, hard-to-find items and unique diamond jewellery!
I was thrilled to view a ring worth a million dollars by Novel Collection with a fancy orangy-red diamond of 2.07cts. A Monograph book โThe Majestic Diamondโ was made by GIA.
In the gemstone category, the Ceylon Sapphire by Ijadi Gem was mesmerising!
Among the variety of sapphires available Ceylon sapphires are known to be the finest quality sapphire. They are popular for their bright, mid-blue colour, often referred to as a distinctive ‘cornflower’ blue hue. These gemstones come in various shades of blue from light to dark, where the darker the colour, the finer the stone.
Featured above are 2 shades of Ceylon Sapphire:
1. Unheated, Light Blue 53cts
2. Unheated, Deep Royal Blue, 64cts.
And finally at the Breakfast meeting with Mr Martin Rapaport, Chairman of the Rapaport Group; a special presentation was made addressing the State of the Diamond Industry; Sanctions & Economic Warfare.
Let me know if you agree that Diamonds are a symbol of Love and Commitment!
It was fun being at the show and finally meeting all my friends from the industry in person and trying some of the world’s jewels!
And lastly hereโs a brief glimpse of my visit to Las Vegas in 2022! I had a great time visiting the Couture Show and the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show. I look forward to the 2023 edition!
